Regarding CEO William Weldon and his $143 MILLION retirement compensation. I'm curious how consumers and shareholders will accept this news. Looking at a few facts, it appears as though Weldon has received far more than he could possibly have earned, unless lack of ethics and destroying trust in an iconic American, and now global, corporation is highly valuable these days.
Weldon received $30 million for 2011, $29 million for 2010, $27 million in 2009, according to FiercePharma. That's $86 million in just three years! Add that to the $150 million for his retirement, and that is $236 million. Safe to say, Weldon sucked over $300 million out of the health care industry - our pockets since we pay the insurances and taxes for insurance as well as co-pays and over limit services. Wow, and $300 million went to Weldon - just one executive. Unbelievable.

What has William Weldon, the coveted "Worst CEO of 2011" done to achieve such a high standing at Johnson & Johnson, The Most Sued Company in New Jersey except help achieve the austere goal of becoming one of the 10 Most Hated Companies in America?
As I document the ever-increasing number of lawsuits against Johnson & Johnson, both at home and abroad, I have to wonder if I would have been better off financially by lying, bribing, stealing and poisoning babies to earn millions and millions and millions for my salary and retirement. Yes, it appears as though crime actually does pay - and quite well.
