An acquaintance of mine, John Fratti, was injured by long-term side effects of Levaquin, a drug produced by a subsidiary of Johnson & Johnson. He is permanently disabled and survives on Social Security Disability and gets the drugs he needs to cope with his debilitating pain through Medicaid.
After the 2012 JNJ Annual Shareholder Meeting, then CEO Billy Boy Weldon, sat down with John and discussed that JNJ is looking into John's condition caused by the harmful drug and promised to keep in contact. John received a form letter of no substance and no other contact.
After the 2013 JNJ Annual Shareholder Meeting, CEO Alex Gorsky, sat down with John and discussed that JNJ is looking into squaring up with John for the life-long disabling injuries caused by the harmful drug Levaquin and promised to keep in contact. John received a form email of no substance and no other contact.
But what do you expect from a company that tried to use the Constitution Right to Lie as their defense against $1.2 Billion Risperdal settlement with Arkansas.
Hey-yuh, JNJ, when you square up with John, can you also square up with the taxpayers who have been supporting John by repaying Social Security and Medicaid the hundreds of thousands spent supporting another victim of your products? It should not be the responsibility of US taxpayers to shoulder the financial burden of harmful products produced by Johnson & Johnson and their 200+ subsidiary companies. We need our money back, since us being broke all the time to pay J&J debt is driving our economy into the toilet.
And we wonder why our health care costs are going through the roof. Uh, because Johnson & Johnson's victims are piling up fast and we can't afford them all.
